Over the weekend, 12 people were shot in Democrat-controlled Atlanta, including two fatalities, a 15-year-old and a 22-year-old.
There have been 44 homicides in Atlanta so far this year, which is a 60% increase over last year.
The shootings in Atlanta may not be as bad as Chicago, where 45 people were shot and five died over the weekend, but it is still a lot of shootings and death for one city.
Many people on the left want to blame police for the homicide rate and claim that racist police are the cause of the high homicide rate.
The truth is, however, that almost none of the homicides that occur in the U.S. are police shootings, and most are criminals shooting each other or shooting innocent people that happen to be in the wrong place at the wrong time.
