The likelihood that people are wearing masks when they leave home has plummeted, according to a new study.
The Economist/YouGov found that a plurality of 41% of those surveyed said they never wear a mask when leaving home. An additional 25% said they wear a mask “sometimes.”
The same number, 17%, said they always wear a mask and that they usually do.
Predictably, most Republicans said they never wear a mask, while most Democrats said they do. A slightly higher plurality of independents, 48% said they never wear a mask outside the home.
In all, 30% of those surveyed were never vaccinated for COVID-19.
