White House insiders have just divulged a shocking secret about President Trump’s plans to replace Barack Obama’s Affordable Care Act.
According to a conservative health policy analyst close to the matter, “The White House, mainly through the National Economic Council, has been engaged […] with a group of center-right health policy groups to talk about various proposals and ideas.”
Few details are known about just what President Trump is planning. However, the analyst said that the White House has reached out to numerous conservative think tanks, including the Heritage Foundation, and the Hoover Institute for ideas.
President Trump has been hinting at forthcoming major changes, indicating that the GOP will soon be known as the “party of healthcare.”
Trump went on to say that he’s “working on a plan now.” But he also declined to go into detail, noting that there is no rush to make an official move until the Affordable Care Act is repealed.
According to the Washington Examiner, “Policy leaders at several conservative think tanks confirmed to the Examiner that a healthcare plan is indeed the works.” The White House remains tight-lipped about specifics, but more details are expected as the plan solidifies.
