Hillary Clinton is reeling after a shock announcement just humiliated her and further proved that she’s nothing more than an out-of-touch elitist.
Unlike Clinton’s poorly-managed campaign, the Democratic National Committee (DNC) has decided to take Wisconsin seriously and hold their 2020 convention in Milwaukee. Donald Trump won the state in 2016 and all 10 of its electoral votes.
Once the final vote came in, Trump took 47.2% of the vote and Clinton brought in 46.5% of the vote. Both candidates were kept under the 50% margin due to third-party entries such as Gary Johnson (Libertarian) and Jill Stein (Green).
“Democrats need to win Wisconsin,” reads a report on the Democrats’ choice to make the state a priority. But the lingering question remains: Will anything they do be enough? The economy is growing and unemployment is at a record low.
In fact, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics’ most recent report from January 2019, Wisconsin is enjoying an unemployment rate of 3.0 — even lower than our current national unemployment rate of 3.8. It’s astonishing.
With Trump delivering on his promise to make economic growth, job creation, and national security the most important issues, Democrats should be afraid to run against such a record of accomplishment in Wisconsin or anywhere nationwide.
