White House Communications Chief of Staff Emma Riley quit the position on Friday, announcing her move on social media.
Riley said she was excited to “move down Pennslyvania Ave.” to work with Secretary of Labor Marty Walsh and the Department of Labor.
“It was an honor and privilege to serve POTUS and the American people at the White House,” she wrote.
The resignation comes as Biden has struggled with low approval ratings and low opinions of many of his policies and their effects on the country.
Vice President Kamala Harris’ communications director Ashley Etienne also quit on Thursday as Harris has also struggled with low ratings and negative headlines.
