Senator Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) just received terrible news. This could be the end of the line for her presidential campaign. It appears that simply being “anti-Trump” isn’t enough.
According to a new poll, former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg, a late entry into the race, is already tied in third place with Warren. Both candidates draw 14% support.
The scientific poll, conducted by Morning Consult, placed former Vice President Joe Biden in first place with 28% and Senator Bernie Sanders (I-VT) in second place with 24% support.
If Bloomberg continues to rise, he could very well knock Warren out of the top three, unless her campaign finds a way to pick off support from Sanders or Biden, which isn’t likely at all.
Biden remains in the lead because he is seen as the “safe” choice — something Warren is not. Furthermore, Sanders’ supporters, as radical as they are, will remain loyal to him.
Warren only has one direction to go, and that’s down. Her campaign has likely peaked and she will soon be viewed as an also-ran who didn’t make much of an impact on the national stage.
