Former national security adviser and U.N. Ambassador Susan Rice was the latest high-ranking official to endorse former Vice President Joe Biden for president on Monday.
Rice mentioned Biden’s decades of experience in government in her endorsement, but focused on his empathy in saying that he would be a “compassionate and decent” president.
She posted a photo of Biden comforting her after her her mother passed away in 2017.
Rice worked for 8 years under the Obama administration and also had close ties to the Clintons.
After coming in fifth in Iowa and fourth in New Hampshire, Biden has rallied in recent days and now holds more delegates than Bernie Sanders after Super Tuesday voting in 14 states.
