Republican New Jersey State Senator Mike Testa told One America News Network that he believed his state could turn from blue to red because of Democrats’ embracing of radical left policies.
Testa spoke at the Wildwood rally for President Donald Trump, which drew over 100,000 ticket requests for a venue that held only 7,500.
He pointed to his own district, which flipped from Democrat to Republican in 2019 as a result of people “running as real Republicans” rather than “Republican light.”
“You don’t beat vanilla with French vanilla,” he said. “You beat it with chocolate.”
He also said that people in his state didn’t like Democrat Governor Phil Murphy’s liberal immigration policies of giving driver’s licenses and free college tuition to illegal immigrants, and have taken a stand against these moves.
