Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) has the votes to move forward on the trial portion of the impeachment process — without giving in to the ridiculous demands of Democrats.

“We have the votes,” said McConnell. “With regards to getting the papers, it is a rule of impeachment in the Senate that we must receive the papers, it continues to be.”
He went on to say that he hopes Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi sends over the articles of impeachment this week. As we all know, Pelosi has broken precedent by refusing to transmit them.
It is obvious why she is stalling: Once the articles arrive at the Senate, the trial portion will be short and Trump won’t be convicted. She is trying to delay as long as possible for political reasons.
