Georgia Governor Brian Kemp (R) said on Thursday that he was concerned about a video that showed suitcases full of ballots being brought out to be counted in Fulton County after GOP vote monitors left the vicinity on election night.
“Oh, no question about it,” he said. “Certainly, Laura, today was concerning. I think we are working right now, and hopefully, the secretary of state will update us on exactly what was going on.”
Kemp said that he thought the secretary of state had a monitor at the polling location and hoped that the monitor would come forward to explain what had happened.
He also said Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger should have a close eye on Fulton County as a recount continues there.
In his remarks, he suggested checking the ballots to make sure the signatures matched and that they were properly done.
