ABC News has appeared to unearth audio of President Donald Trump talking to Lev Parnas and Igor Fruman about getting rid of former Ukraine Ambassador Marie Yovanovitch.
“The biggest problem there, I think where we need to start is we need to get rid of the ambassador,” Parnas said on the recording, which took place in April 2018. “She’s still left over from the Clinton administration.”
Trump agrees, telling them to “get her out tomorrow.” Mainstream media outlets are pointing to the recording as proof that Trump got rid of Yovanovitch a year later in April 2019 because she didn’t agree with investigating Joe Biden, but no reason for her ouster other than that she’s a Clinton holdover is given.
