The American Civil Liberties Union has advanced a new argument against the Second Amendment–that it was formed because of “foundational” racism.
Historian Carol Anderson said on the “At Liberty” podcast that “anti-blackness” played into the decision to include the Second Amendment in the Bill of Rights.
Racism also influenced the “unequal and racist enforcement” of the amendment “over the last several hundred years.”
“Sitting in our bill of rights is the right to control black people, is the right to destroy the rights of black people and that is so fundamentally just inherently wrong,” Anderson said.
The woke left wants to blame everything they don’t like on racism, so there’s no credence to her reasoning, but she may convince some people who want to see racism behind every rock.
