Presidential candidate Joe Biden suggested Tuesday that he would put both former President Barack Obama and former First Lady Michelle Obama to work in his administration if he is elected in 2020.
Biden said he wants to make Michelle Obama his vice presidential candidate, and would appoint Barack Obama to the Supreme Court “if he would take it.” The would-be Democrat nominee did say he didn’t think Barack Obama would accept the appointment to the high court, however.
“They’re both incredibly qualified people,” Biden said. “I mean and they’re such decent honorable people.”
Biden has been losing ground in Iowa and New Hampshire in recent weeks, with Sen. Bernie Sanders surging just days before the caucuses are set to be held.
Maybe Senate Republicans will back off from investigating the Bidens if the Obamas come into the picture. Or at least, that’s what Biden is hoping at this point, I think.
