Russia has responded to threats from the Biden administration, warning that they will strike with a devastating cyberattack if President Biden enacts sanctions.
R.P. Eddy, CEO of cybersecurity firm Ergo, explained that if sanctions are put in place, “[Russia is] very likely is to increase cyberattacks. It’s an easy move for them. That means U.S. states and U.S. private companies need to be taking this very seriously. We are already in a warfare state right now, and we need to be aware of that.”
Thanks to President Biden’s weak leadership, Russian aggression in Ukraine could result in America coming under cyberattack.
Cyberattacks may not sound particularly terrifying, but considering Russia may have the capability to disrupt our infrastructure for days or even weeks, the damage could be devastating.
If Russian hackers are able to disrupt our electrical grid, even for a few days, it could cause immense suffering and chaos. A serious cyberattack is no joke and Americans must prepare as it seems to be a matter of when, not if, we are hit.
President Biden has only been in office for a year, and now Americans are in the crosshairs of a major foreign power. Something needs to change quickly before thousands of Americans pay the price for the President’s weakness.
