Rudy Giuliani has shared some of what he found during a recent trip to Ukraine, including an effort to funnel foreign aid to a nongovernmental organization run by billionaire George Soros.
A diversion of $5.3 billion in foreign aid was being investigated by Ukraine in 2017, and Giuliani said that former Ukraine Ambassador Marie Yovanovitch stopped the investigation and told Ukraine that the U.S. Embassy was fine with the “spending.”
Much has been made of President Donald Trump’s firing of Yovanovitch, which he had every right to do even if there wasn’t a clear reason.
Giuliani told Turning Point USA President Charlie Kirk about his findings, and also told Kirk that he spoke to the president about what he discovered.
He said that his findings justified Trump’s July 25 phone call with Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky.
