Rep. Nancy Mace’s (R-NC) chief of staff resigned Wednesday over the congresswoman’s feud with House conservatives, Breitbart has exclusively reported.
When Mace condemned Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO) for comments she made about Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN), Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) called Mace “the trash in the GOP conference.”
Boebert later apologized for the comments, in which she jokingly compared Boebert to a terrorist.
Sources said that Mace chief of staff Mara Mellstrom had already been looking for other opportunities before the infighting began, however.
“We all have a responsibility … to lower the temperature, and this does not do that,” Mace told CNN about Boebert.
