A high-profile resignation announcement just rocked Washington, DC. The White House is stunned by this news and the controversy will only escalate. This is unreal.
In a letter published by Protect Democracy, a far-left front group, 1,100 former Department 0f Justice (DOJ) announced that Attorney General William Barr should resign from his position.
“Barr’s actions in doing the President’s personal bidding unfortunately speak louder than his words,” said the letter. “Those actions … require Mr. Barr to resign.”
The letter accused Barr of damaging “the Department of Justice’s reputation for integrity and the rule of law,” and mentioned the Roger Stone case as the most recent example.
Once again, however, the facts are not on the Democrats’ side. The DOJ had already made the decision to recommend a lighter sentence for Stone — Trump’s tweet about the case came after the fact.
But since the DOJ didn’t publicly announce their decision until after Trump’s tweet criticizing the case against Stone, Democrats are hoping that Americans haven’t been paying attention to the details.
