Here we go again. Democrats are trying to start another witch-hunt, and Senator Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) — who is struggling in her party’s presidential primaries — has a target in mind.
“Understand we should all be calling for the attorney general to resign,” said Warren to Anderson Cooper on CNN. “If that guy won’t resign, then the House should start impeachment proceedings against him.”
Warren and other anti-Trump Democrats are going after Attorney General William Barr over the Department of Justice (DOJ) recommending a reduced sentence for longtime Trump ally Roger Stone.
Deceitfully, Democrats are pointing to a tweet by President Trump in which he gave his personal opinion on the case — and they are claiming his tweet influenced the DOJ’s decision.
However, this couldn’t be further from the truth. As former Congressman Trey Gowdy (R-SC) noted, “Barr was aware of this recommendation before President Trump ever tweeted a single syllable, a single character.”
But this is what Democrats do: Instead of acting in good faith on behalf of the country, they embroil all of us in political grandstanding to serve an anti-Trump agenda. It needs to end and it will in November.
