President Donald Trump is completely shocked. This ‘removal’ announcement has everyone talking — it is happening and people need to speak up.
“Google-owned video platform YouTube has announced plans to remove any content that questions Joe Biden’s victory in the 2020 U.S. presidential election,” reported Breitbart News.
This decision has been made “despite the fact that legal challenges involving multiple states continue,” with a major case filed by Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton (R) calling into question the election results in several swing states.
Additionally, a YouTube blog post has highlighted “authoritative news sources” that the video-sharing platform has pushed to the exclusion of what it has identified as “borderline” and “problematic” content.
According to the blog post, the most viewed election-related news sources on the platform were ABC, NBC, USA TODAY, CNN, and CBS News (in that order). It doesn’t take a genius to figure out what is going on here.
Now that mainstream media and social media know they can actively determine election outcomes — with Joe Biden’s likely win a major indicator — people will have to search even harder for diverse content. This is bad news.
