Senator Rand Paul (R-KY) just dropped a bombshell on the Senate floor. He exposed the truth and Republicans are completely furious. This could change everything — not even Democrats can deny it anymore.
Before the second COVID-19 relief package passed Congress, Paul gave a blistering speech on the Senate floor exposing the problems with the bill. His remarks quickly went viral across the internet.
Readers can see the speech for themselves above, where Paul took aim at the idea that money can solve every problem. “If free money was the answer… if money really did grow on trees, why not give more free money?” he asked.
Paul continued: “Why not give it out all the time? Why stop at $600 a person? Why not $1,000? Why not $2,000? Maybe these new Free-Money Republicans should join the Everybody-Gets-A-Guaranteed-Income Caucus?”
When the vote eventually came up in the Senate, Paul voted against the bill — along with Sens. Rick Scott (R-FL), Mike Lee (R-UT), Marsha Blackburn (R-TN), Ted Cruz (R-TX), and Ron Johnson (R-WI). President Donald Trump has sent the bill back to Congress for revisions.
