According to a statement from Maxar Technologies, Russia is constructing another mass grave near the Ukrainian city of Mariupol as Vladimir Putin continues his campaign of terror.
Satellite images from Maxar Technologies show that a site in Vynohradne, Ukraine, has been rapidly expanded in what is very likely a mass grave.
These images are further proof that Russia is committing war crimes in Ukraine despite the denials put forward by Russia.
U.S. Attorney General Merrick Garland said during a Thursday press conference, “We have now been in contact with the prosecutor general of Ukraine, and we are assisting. … They’ve collected a group of international allies to assist, and so we are helping in the collection of evidence and the preservation of evidence relating to possible war crimes.”
As the war in Ukraine has dragged on, Russia has become increasingly desperate, spurring suspicions of war crimes by outside observers.
Russian forces are allegedly blocking humanitarian aid to Ukrainian civilians, and with the war months old, it is unlikely things will get better. Unfortunately, we won’t know the truth until a peace agreement is signed and international entities can enter Ukraine.
