South African President Cyril Ramaphosa was in the middle of an address at a fundraising gala when a power outage occurred, forcing him to evacuate.
“The power went out Saturday night as South African President Cyril Ramaphosa addressed a gala fundraising dinner for his ruling party, the African National Congress (ANC), causing embarrassment to the government and forcing his evacuation,” reports Breitbart News.
“South Africa has suffered from persistent power shortages in the past 15 years, thanks to poor management and the appointment of ruling party cronies to run state utilities, as engineers have been forced out through affirmative action” reported Breitbart News.
“Attendees attempted to gloss over the outage by singing party songs. Some on social media blamed a faction called the Radial Economic Transformation group, linking them to a recent fire in Parliament and vandalism at South Africa’s Constitutional Court,” reports Breitbart News.
