Republican Senators are putting the screws on President Biden over a canceled $142 million contract to promote monoclonal antibody treatments that may have contributed to the deaths of thousands of Americans.
The Biden administration signed a massive contract with accounting firm KPMG in March 2021, which was intended to help Americans access monoclonal antibody treatments.
However, what caught the attention of Republicans in the Senate was the Biden administration’s refusal to make any details of the contract available.
Senator Tommy Tuberville (R-AL) said, “We’ve asked questions in hearings. We have followed up on the letters that we’ve sent. We’ve heard nothing back. There’s no communication with any of us on the Republican side.”
Other Republicans on the Senate Health Committee have been working hard to break through the Biden administration’s stonewalling.
Thousands of Americans died in spite of widespread vaccination against Covid-19, and part of the reason for that was the lack of therapeutic treatment options. Americans deserve to know the truth as to why their loved ones died without effective treatments for their infections.
