Democrat presidential candidate Joe Biden may not be the Democrat party’s best shot at the presidency. That honor may fall to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA).
With the election drawing nearer and Biden’s campaign continuing to flounder, many Democrats are wondering how they will get out of this mess.
As it turns out, if the electoral college cannot get the election results by January 20th, 2021, then the Speaker of the House will assume the presidency and a special election will be held.
That special election will involve a vote by all 50 states delegations and the simple majority will pick the next president to replace the acting president.
At this point, that scenario is almost more realistic than Joe Biden beating Donald Trump outright in November.
Democrats would simply have to find a way to delay the results of the election and work from there. Joe Biden won’t last one debate with President Trump and Democrats will have to get creative quickly.
