House Republicans have filed an ethics complaint against House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) for ripping up her copy of President Donald Trump’s State of the Union speech right after he finised delivering it.
Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) announced on Twitter Wednesday that he was filing the complaint because of her stunt, which he thought might be in violation of 18 USC 2071, which prohibits the mutilating of official documents.
Rep. Kay Granger (R-TX) said Pelosi’s actions were “appalling and shameful,” and that they were a “slap in the face” to the heroes he honored in the speech.
Democrats called C-SPAN after she ripped the speech and said they were disgusted and wouldn’t vote for a Democrat anymore after seeing her actions.
Of course, the ethics complaint won’t go anywhere because House Democrats that have the majority will kill it like the sheeple they are. Time to vote Pelosi out of her speakership, or better yet, take back the House in 2020.
