National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC) chairman Rep. Tom Emmer (R-MN) told Breitbart News in an exclusive interview that he has a plan for Republicans to retake the House majority in 2022 and retire Nancy Pelosi, the current Democrat speaker.
Emmer has identified 47 vulnerable districts, and 29 of them he calls “battleground Democrats,” districts that Biden lost or that underperformed the presidential race.
“They’re just weak candidates, that’s the bottom line,” Emmer said, noting that Republicans only have to flip five seats to retake the majority under the current numbers.
No GOP incumbents lost in 2020, and Republicans picked up an unexpected 15 seats to make the Democrat majority the slimmest in decades.
“Our goal is Kevin McCarthy will be the Speaker and Nancy Pelosi will be retired,” Emmer said.
