House leader Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) got more bad news. She is facing yet another challenger for her seat amongst the collapse of the impeachment inquiry.
Chairman of the San Francisco Republican Party, John Dennis, has announced he is challenging Pelosi for her seat.
While any Republican faces nearly insurmountable odds to beat Pelosi, Dennis has better chances than most.
Pelosi is facing a precarious predicament. She is an establishment Democrat stuck in a party rapidly radicalizing.
Not only is she in a bad place in the Democrat party, but impeachment will also hit her hard. Impeachment represents a terrible defeat and may demotivate the Democrat voting base.
Even if a Republican like Dennis fails to replace her, she may be replaced by another Democrat. Right now, her future is far from clear.
