House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) said she has no regrets about downplaying the risk of the coronavirus just as it was beginning to surge at the end of February and beginning of March.
Pelosi said on February 29 that “there are no indications of widespread infections in the United States” and she also said it was safe to visit Chinatown in a video on the Today show.
She has since criticized President Donald Trump for downplaying the virus and not doing enough to stop it when it was first beginning to spread in the U.S.
Of course, at this point Pelosi’s the master of accusing Trump of everything she is doing herself, so this is par for the course.
The extent of Democrats’ myopia is really quite stunning.
