Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi just called it quits and the nation is stunned. Millions of Americans can’t believe what she did — and her move has sent DC into absolute chaos.
“Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D., Calif.) ended the House’s session Wednesday within two minutes and did not indicate when there will be a vote on the coronavirus stimulus bill,” reported The Washington Free Beacon.
Of course, the bill eventually passed, but it’s clear that she was playing a political game and had to compromise in the end. Even for a career politician like Pelosi, her power ran out and Congress just wanted to move forward.

When it came to this particular stunt on Wednesday, noted Politico’s Jake Sherman on Twitter, the House of Representatives “was in this morning at 10 a.m. and 42 seconds. Out at 10:02 and 37 seconds.”
He followed up and said, “To be abundantly, 100% clear: This means the House is not likely to vote on the Senate’s coronavirus bill today.” In the end, however, the American people wanted action and Pelosi had to back down.
