Almost 73% of Democrats in a new Trafalgar Group survey said that they thought teachers’ unions should have more power over education policies than parents.
In the survey overall, a plurality of 48% said that parents, not unions, should have the predominant power to set education policies, while 40% said it should be the unions.
Almost 78% of Republicans said parents should have more say in policies than teacher’s unions.
It’s no surprise that liberals think teachers and education officials should be able to indoctrinate students over parents’ objections and that parents should not be able to stop them.
As for the rest of us, we aren’t giving up our power to influence our children and teach them what we think is important so easily.
