Former President Barack Obama was caught making the false claim that American senior citizens rely on the U.S. Postal Service to receive their social security checks.
In a tweet the former President said,
Everyone depends on the USPS. Seniors for their Social Security, veterans for their prescriptions, small businesses trying to keep their doors open. They can’t be collateral damage for an administration more concerned with suppressing the vote than suppressing a virus.

Other Democrats like Senator Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) and Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer (D) parroted this false talking point as well.
However, these claims are baseless as the reality is that most senior citizens use direct deposit to get their social security checks.
98% of all social security recipients use direct deposit. Getting a check in the mail is going the way of faxing and corded telephones.
The truth doesn’t seem to matter to Democrats who are more intent on stirring up fear and misinformation. The truth is completely expendable if political points can be scored.
