A Fox News investigation into the NFL’s “Inspire Change” program showed that hundreds of thousands of dollars have gone from the league to groups that are working to defund the police.
$300,000 was given to the Oregon Justice Resource Center alone, and at least two other groups probably received similar amounts.
Another group the NFL funded, The Community Justice Exchange, has pushed for ending police departments entirely as well as abolishing prisons and enforcement of U.S. immigration laws.
“The Community Justice Exchange is working towards a world without prisons, policing, prosecution, surveillance, or any form of detention or supervision,” the group’s website says.
If that doesn’t convince people that something at the NFL needs to change, I don’t know what will.
