Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer has fired one of his top staffers after evidence of sexual harassment towards junior staffers was revealed.

Matt House, one of Schumer’s top aides came under fire for “inappropriate encounters within the office.” House was employed by Schumer as communications director for over 5 years. There has been no lawsuit or formal complaint filed as of yet.

House issued an apology, writing “I deeply regret the mistakes I made on the number of occasions when I had too much to drink, and I apologize to anyone who was affected by my behavior.”

Chuck Schumer quietly fired House after learning of the accusations in November. Due to recent Democrat sexual harassment and assault scandals, Schumer can’t afford the bad press.
