BREAKING: New Riots Force Nation Into State Of Emergency [Developing]

There has been an official state of emergency declared by Ecuador.

Riots have engulfed the nation.

Several thousand people marching on behalf of the Confederation of Indigenous Nationalities of Ecuador (CONAIE) entered Quito this week demanding payment from the federal government.

Semana magazine reported that the week-long march and violent riots have led to an official state of emergency to be declared in Ecuador.

The emergency order has been in place since June 18.

On June 20, a nighttime curfew was also added.

CONAIE is a very powerful organization, having toppled three presidents between 1997 and 2005.
