Average gas prices reached $4.60 across the country on Thursday, even as the President Joe Biden administration continued to try to blame Russia alone for the rise in prices.
Prices have risen 47 cents in the last month, and more than $1.50 since last year at the same time.
Back when gas was $4.22 on average, over one-third of Americans said they were cutting back on groceries to afford gas.
Secretary of Energy Jennifer Granholm said last week that “you can thank the activity of Vladimir Putin for invading Ukraine.”
Trouble is, prices were rising even before Russia invaded Ukraine. But leave it to Biden to try to shape the narrative to fit what he wants everyone to believe.
