Some large corporations have been eager to come out in the wake of the Supreme Court’s decision to overturn Roe V. Wade and make their position known, usually in support of abortion rights.

A new poll may give them pause before making their position known, however. According to Suffolk University/USA Today, 68% of people said they didn’t think companies should not speak out on abortion.

Only 27% of people said they did think corporations should speak out in support of abortion, while 3% said they thought companies should oppose it.

In the same poll, 77% said the Supreme Court decision would not impact their vote in November, an even larger number than another recent poll.

Only 15% said abortion was the most important factor in their vote decisions, so Democrats should not bank on gaining votes from it in the midterms, as they are no doubt hoping to do.
