While neither recent president got a majority of the voters to agree on this one, it seems that more voters thought former President Donald Trump’s policies kept them safer from terrorism than current President Joe Biden’s.
The Economist/YouGov poll showed that only 15% thought Biden’s policies kept them safer from terrorism, where 36% thought Trump’s did.
Biden’s botched withdrawal from Afghanistan means that the Taliban could be sneaking across the U.S. border as we speak–either posing as refugees or coming across the southern border, which is effectively open under Biden.
A different poll from Trafalgar Group/Convention of States found that Americans believe Biden’s Afghanistan disaster has made the U.S. more vulnerable to a 9/11 style terrorist attack.
It’s hard to believe anything could have gone worse than the Afghanistan situation, or that the U.S. is doing anything right now to help it be safer from attacks.
