New numbers have completely stunned the White House. There was just a complete reversal and it has sent shockwaves through Washington, DC.
According to a Breitbart News analysis of a Business Insider survey, “62 percent view $600 stimulus checks as too small, with over three-quarters expressing the belief that payments should be $1,000 or greater.”
“Forty-three percent of respondents said checks should be over $2,000,” Breitbart continued. This sentiment could be partially in response to the revelation that the coronavirus relief bill is stuffed with unrelated items.
“Congress found plenty of money for foreign countries and lobbyists and special interests, while sending the bare minimum to the American people who need it,” noted President Donald Trump in a recent statement.
Ideally, Trump would like all of the unrelated pork-barrel spending stripped from the bill and the direct payments to American families increased — it is a long shot, but this could be his last stand as president.
Ultimately, the dysfunction in Washington has been exposed. The billions of dollars in foreign aid and other ridiculously offensive items have nothing to do with COVID relief. Trump is trying to protect American taxpayers.
