Democrat presidential candidate Joe Biden isn’t the only Democrat with a gaffe problem. After weeks of protests and riots, complete with Kente cloth and kneeling, Nancy Pelosi can’t remember George Floyd’s name.
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) had a regrettable lapse on Friday and mistakenly referred to George Floyd as “George Kirby” while speaking to reporters about the House’s police reform bill.
Pelosi said, “And I said, ‘Well I’ll recommend that to the Judiciary Committee and to the — to the Congressional Black Caucus who have shaped the bill, but I only will do that if you tell me that this legislation is worthy of George Kirby’s name.”
The House passed the Democrat-sponsored George Floyd Justice in Policing Act on Thursday by a vote of 236-181. Democrats did this while rejecting a motion to condemn the violent rioting spawned by the killing of George Floyd.
The Democrat bill bans chokeholds, no-knock warrants, and requires lethal force to be used as a measure of last resort. If passed in the Senate and signed by the president, the bill would likely end up handicapping our nation’s law enforcement.
Nancy Pelosi heads the list of aging Democrat leaders that are badly in need of replacement.
