House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) has given more motivation to Republicans seeking to throw her out of power with her recent Twitter antics.
Even while U.S. troops scrambled to secure the airport in Kabul after two deadly suicide bombings, Pelosi was tweeting about “Women’s Equality Day.”
It took Pelosi hours to acknowledge the deadly bombings that killed over a dozen U.S. troops. Representative Byron Donald (R-FL) called out Pelosi, saying her actions were “abhorrent and disgusting.”
Pelosi, at best, simply wasn’t paying attention to what was happening in Afghanistan, or at worst, Pelosi didn’t care.
Representative Donald continued saying, “I find it to be abhorrent and disgusting. Twelve service members [now 13] were killed today. We haven’t lost a service member in the last 18 months in Afghanistan. This is the deadliest attack on Americans in Afghanistan in a decade. And she’s tweeting about spending money — it’s outrageous.”
Pelosi’s attitude towards the horrific attack on American troops will come back to bite her. Republicans will be working hard to ensure that Americans don’t forget about what Pelosi chose to prioritize when American’s were under attack.
