Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) could be completely done. She was just caught red-handed and Congress is stunned.
According to Fox News, several Republican lawmakers are demanding that Pelosi “pay the fine for not going through metal detectors to get onto the House floor after her office confirmed that she hadn’t used them to access the floor in February.”
In a letter to acting House Seargent-at-Arms Timothy Blodgett, Reps. Rodney Davis (R-IL), Barry Loudermilk (R-GA), and Bryan Steil (R-WI) make their case for Pelosi being held accountable.
The lawmakers said that all members “must live under the same rules.” Therefore, due to the admission of Pelosi’s office that she was “afforded special treatment” in February, she needs to pay the fine.
According to their letter, Pelosi, according to her own admission, “entered the House Chamber through a closed entrance on multiple occasions without completing a magnetometer security screening.”
It is only fair, then, that she should pay the fine — just like any other member of Congress would have to do. Otherwise, she is setting a horrible leadership example. Then again, what else is new?
