Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) could be completely done. It has finally happened — she may have passed the point of no return.
Appearing on Fox News, White House Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany accused Pelosi of “putting the interest of trial lawyers first” in coronavirus relief, echoing a conversation she had with Chief of Staff Mark Meadows.
“These trial lawyers are the ones who are going to go after small businesses,” continued McEnany. “That’s the last thing they need as they are trying to weather COVID, is all of this liability on their hands.”
Simply put, while President Donald Trump is seeking a clean bill — one that will directly help struggling families and businesses — Pelosi wants one full of left-wing goodies that have nothing to do with relief.
This is typical behavior of liberal Democrats; they are addicted to their “pork” and will find a way to work it into any legislation. Then, when the bill fails, they whine about it on national television and play the victim.
As McEnany said: “Come on, Nancy Pelosi. Negotiate. That is all we are asking for.” Will she come to the table in good faith for a compromise or continue to stall on much-needed relief? The choice is hers alone.
