House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) could be facing a libel lawsuit from federal agents after she referred to them as “stormtroopers.”
Acting Department of Homeland Security Deputy Secretary Ken Cuccinelli sat down for an interview on the “The Ingraham Angle,” Friday.
During his interview, Cuccinelli said, “The Speaker of the House knows that she’s using Nazi allusions to refer to correct professional law enforcement officers. If I was a CBP agent, if I was an ICE agent, if I was an FPS agent, I might just sue her for libel.”
Federal agents were deployed to Portland, Oregon, to defend federal buildings threatened by rioters. Rioters have tried repeatedly to burn down the federal courthouse and local government has done nothing to stop them.
Portland leadership has forced the Trump administration’s hand and made the deployment of federal agents a necessity.
Speaker Pelosi’s comments on those same federal agents were downright disgusting. Comparing federal agents defending federal property from rioters to Nazi stormtroopers is extremely wrong. Hopefully, Pelosi will be taken to court over her dangerous allusion.
