House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) said she thinks there needs to be a national mandatory mask rule to try to curb the spread of the coronavirus that is growing in more than 20 states.
“It’s definitely long overdue for that,” Pelosi said on ABC This Week, adding that “real men wear masks.”
She called on President Donald Trump to be an example to country in wearing masks. Trump has said he doesn’t need to wear one because he gets tested for the virus frequently.
The CDC didn’t want to mandate masks nationwide because of offending Trump, Pelosi alleged.
I fail to see why states and areas with few coronavirus cases should have to wear masks. One-size-fits-all mandates don’t work and will needlessly restrict millions of people in unnecessary ways.
