During her weekly press conference, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) had to resort to lecturing reporters that they needed to “sell” President Joe Biden’s $3.5 trillion legislation better.
A reporter pointed out that only 10% of Americans knew a lot of specific things in the huge reconciliation bill, according to a CBS poll.
“Do you think you need to do a better job at messaging and going forward, how do you sell this?” the reporter asked Pelosi.
“Well, I think you all could do a better job of selling it, to be very frank with you,” Pelosi responded.
The nerve of her, thinking it was reporters’ responsbility to “sell” Democrats’ legislation and plans. She might as well admit defeat if her legislation can’t stand on its own merits.
