It’s over for Mueller. He just received a devastating blow from the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence. According to the Committee’s chair, North Carolina Sen. Richard Burr, there is no evidence that would prove collusion claims against President Trump.
According to the Daily Caller, “The Senate panel has conducted more than 200 witness interviews and reviewed hundreds of thousands of documents as part of an investigation into Russian meddling in the 2016 election.”
Both Burr and vice chairman Democratic Virginia Sen. Mark Warner have worked closely together on the investigation. The leaders of the committee have not found any evidence that would require any subpoenas or witness interviews.
This investigation has been ongoing for over two years. Burr has declared that if a report was to be released today, “we don’t have anything that would suggest there was collusion by the Trump campaign and Russia.”
