MSNBC’s Chuck Todd just completely lost it. He is finished now, and the entire network couldn’t be far behind. It is a difficult time to be an anti-Trump liberal — with Todd being one of the craziest ones out there. Here’s the proof.
“And just a reminder, for what it’s worth, there is no editorial point of view here on any of these newscasts on MSNBC in the daytime,” said Todd recently before going to a commercial. Yes, he actually made this claim.
It happened at the end of an interview with Tim Murtaugh, the communications director for President Trump’s re-election campaign. During the broadcast, he was asked by Todd’s colleague, Katy Tur, about the safety of Trump rallies.
“I do not recall MSNBC or CNN or anybody else being concerned about the safety of people who attended those gatherings,” responded Murtaugh, referring to the massive BLM protests that have taken place for weeks now.
He provided some additional commentary as well to make a salient point — that there is a double-standard at play in which Trump’s rallies are criticized but large-scale protests numbering into the thousands aren’t criticized.
Tur attempted to justify the difference in treatment, but it came off as nothing more than partisan talking points. “I appreciate that speech, Katy,” said Murtaugh. “Thank you.” Then Todd had the audacity to claim MSNBC is unbiased.
