Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) just got on board and President Donald Trump is smiling. Progress is finally being made.
“Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell praised President Trump late Sunday for signing a $900 billion pandemic package and a $1.4 trillion government funding bill to avert a government shutdown,” reported Fox News.
In exchange, Trump will “send Congress a ‘redlined version’ that includes items to be removed,” including the billions of dollars in foreign aid and other leftist priorities that have nothing to do with COVID-19 relief for Americans.
Trump will also continue to insist upon at least $2,000 per American ($4,000 per couple) and an additional $600 per child dependent, according to a statement released by White House Deputy Press Secretary Judd Deere.
“I want far less wasteful spending and more money going to the American people,” said Trump. “Much more money is coming. I will never give up my fight for the American people!”
Even if Joe Biden is inaugurated next month, Trump’s legacy will live on. He never stopped fighting for Americans and Democrats are terrified of his lasting populist appeal. It is a political movement, not a fad.
