Secretary of State Mike Pompeo is out and the nation is stunned. Millions of Americans across the country can’t believe it — and now everyone is wondering what will happen next.
“New peace deals between Israel, the United Arab Emirates, and Bahrain send a message to Iran that its influence in the region is waning, U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said in Jerusalem,” reported Breitbart News.
While Pompeo was out of the country in Israel, he made it clear that our allies won’t be intimidated by Iran and these historic peace deals are part of the equation. Iran is becoming increasingly isolated.
Not only do these agreements “open up wonderful opportunities for commerce and economic development,” he said, but they “also tell malign actors like the Islamic Republic of Iran that their influence in the region is waning.”
Pompeo said this will remain so until Iranian leaders “change their direction.” Simply put, Iran cannot be trusted and the Obama administration made a habit out of appeasing Iran instead of pushing for reform.
These peace deals between Israel and other Middle Eastern nations — which are built to last — make Iran look like the odd one out. Now, the Iranian government has a choice to either embrace modernity or be further isolated from the world.
