Vice President Mike Pence just made his move. He is absolutely right — this should have never happened and we all need to stand up for the truth.
“To those who wreaked havoc in our capitol today, you did not win,” said Pence addressing the joint session of Congress this week. “Violence never wins. Freedom wins, and this is still the people’s house.”
“Today was a dark day in the history of the United States Capitol, but thanks to the swift efforts of US Capitol Police, federal, state, and local law enforcement, the violence was quelled,” he continued.
The alarming incident has received wall-to-wall coverage from the mainstream media — as if they have completely forgotten about the riots that raged all summer long. Far-left rioters set cities on fire and assaulted people in the streets.
Businesses and infrastructure sustained billions of dollars in damage, with Minneapolis, Minnesota, alone sustaining an estimated $500 million in damage and counting. This should never be forgotten.
But Pence is also completely right. That group of Trump supporters who stormed the U.S. Capitol — leaving chaos and violence in their wake, including a dead police officer — should be flatly condemned. There is never an excuse for it.
